Inspiration Board: Mindi McBride

The final installment of our inspiration boards comes from Mindi. Influenced by vintage fashion and retro interiors, Mindi draws inspiration from odds and ends she picks up from op shops and her grandmothers treasures for upcoming projects. A clash of yesterday and today are characteristic of her design style as well as use of decorative patterns and bright colours.

Inspiration Board: Caroline Davis

Our third installment in the dandi inspirations boards is Caroline's. Caroline draws inspiration mostly from nature, and likes to use natural materials and colour palettes. She is constantly sketching and taking notes wherever she goes as well as being a self confessed bower bird, picking up all sorts of twigs, seed pods, feathers and branches and bringing them home for new uses. Caroline's style is constantly evolving but there is always a mix of old and new and a skilful use of colour.

Inspiration Board: Manuela Strano

Today's inspiration board comes from Manuela. Manuela studied a combined degree in Industrial Design with International studies and graduated in 2006. Her extensive travels and Italian background help to shape her work, although she also keeps a collection of arty magazines and books at hand for continued inspiration. Manuela enjoys the entire design process - from brainstorming an initial idea, through to refined drawing and perfecting concepts digitally. She is also a bit of a Photoshop Queen and puts together our catologues beautifully every time. Her philosophy on design is to keep it simple, accessible and original.

Inspiration Board: Leezar

Today we bring you Leezar's inspiration board. This is the first post in a series of four (1 for each of us!) where we will show you whats currently making us excited in the world of patterns and design. Read below Leezars Bio to find out more about what makes her creative juices flow:

Leezar knew from a young age that she wanted to be a Designer; in 2006 she graduated from her Industrial Design degree and now finds she draws inspiration daily from her family, partner and leafy surroundings of her home in Sydney’s west.  Leezar’s design style is influenced by Australian flora and fauna mixed with bold pattern making and digital manipulation of hand sketching. Leezar likes to experiment with different line work and colour using software to generate a range of ideas quickly. Leezar brings a fun, excited element to the Dandi team with her never say die attitude.
