Behind the Scenes

Yesterday was a wonderful photography mission in the land of Dandi. The Dandi ladies spent all day setting up and photographing 10 new looks to be revealed in the coming months. The whole experience was such a myriad of emotions, from the manic supplies shopping, to the precision flower arranging, and the calm setting of the table and the never ending ironing!

Here are some behind the scenes photos of the fun day we endured. Lets just say we all enjoyed putting our feet up at the end of the day and eating a post-shoot cupcake. We now also have some wonderful photographs to share with you in the coming months.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Retailer Watch: Home at Last, Milton NSW

On a recent weekend on the NSW South Coast Caroline stopped in for a visit to Dandi stockist Home at Last. Situated in the picturesque town of Milton in the Shoalhaven area, Home at Last stocks a beautiful array of gifts and homewares and is well worth the visit if you are in the area.

Pretty potholders hanging around

The Dandi range looked great amongst the bright red kitchen shelves in the store, and our bold printed Paper Napkins tied in nicely with the other homewares on display.

The beautiful product displays carry on through the entire store. It's easy to see why so many locals and tourists alike love the store. Dandi are thrilled to be present in the historic town of Milton and highly recommend it as a place to visit!

As Seen In: October Home Beautiful

This post is a little late to reach you, however we thought it was a goody to share as it describes the Dandi design process and also showcases our lovely Caroline. An extract from this interview with Virginia Jen of Home Beautiful Australia is below.

"Our contemporary, graphic approach celebrates our natives landscapes, we take inspiration from the environment but aren't too literal with it. It could be the use of colour from a landscape or the shape of leaf that starts of a design.

Each design and product comes to fruition in an organic, collaborative design process. We all start sketching. One of us may start the design and then someone else jumps in and adds their bit. It's not about one person's individual talent - we work off our strength as a team. We Never stop designing - our studio walls are covered with ideas for future ranges, the hard part is deciding which design is ready to be set free. "

DANDIFIED: Amelia's Lunch

Amelia has been a fan of Dandi for some time now, she recently organised a beautiful birthday lunch for her lovely mum, Belinda. Amelia used two Olive Branch Tablecloths and decorated the tabel with vases of protea flowers repeated down the centre. The Olive Branch designed worked wonderfully with the leafy surrounds of their courtyard. As a special touch Amelia hand made place cards for each guest. The Dandi ladies are so impressed and inspired by her efforts (and artistic photography!) that we are awarding Amelia with the first ever Dandified prize.

DIY Wedding Details

As promised previously here are a few amateur photographs of Leezar's DIY Fabric boxes which were made using plain dyed berry fabric. Pictured above you can also see that Leezar made CD's for everyone using her and Corey's favourite tunes to take home with them. Leezar and Corey had requested everyone to write down their favourite song on the RSVP notes so that they could play them on the night, and this was a really sweet way of returning the favour.

Leezar made up a pin board from plain dyed berry fabric and had guests leave their mementos on it. She also place pictures from her's and Corey's parents weddings and pictures of their dogs Polly and Keira. The whole evening came together so beautifully due to Leezar's great attention to detail.

Leezar and Corey get Hitched

Last weekend was the BIG DAY for Leezar and Corey. It was a beautiful affair despite the rainy spring weather and both Bride and Groom were beaming with happiness. Here are a few teaser shots from the occasion (professional photos to follow when Leezar returns from her honeymoon in November).

The bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses and had red frilly umbrellas to protect them from the spring showers. Good planning Leezar!

Leezar was beaming so much as she walked down the aisle with her father, who had flown in from the south of France.
